Cincinnati Distilling Company named #2 whiskey distillery in the United States at US Open and wins multiple medals

CINCINNATI - The results for the US Open Whiskey and Spirits Championships were released this week and Cincinnati Distilling took top honors for the second year in a row. They were named the #2 whiskey distillery in the United States and took home 4 medals.

They received a gold medal for their Fire Brigade Cinnamon Whiskey which is a collaboration with Sycamore Professional Firefighters Union Local 3907. Together Cincinnati Distilling and Local 3907 have raised thousands of dollars for the Muscular Dystrophy Association from sales and events surrounding Fire Brigade.

Silver medals were awarded for their Stout Cask Finished Bourbon and Cincinnati Rye Whiskey while their Honey Whiskey made with real honey from Don Popp’s Honey Farm took home a bronze medal.

“It’s so amazing to see our hard work pay off and bring home some awards” Cincinnati Distilling’s Head Distiller Bryan Fischer said. “It gives us more motivation to get back to the grindstone and keep putting out amazing spirits for all to enjoy. We’re looking forward to continue to innovate and grow as we look forward to the opening of our new distillery in Milford.”

Cincinnati Distilling plans on opening their new distillery in the site of the previous Millcroft Inn in Milford, Ohio later this year. The property will feature a tasting room, taproom, private event center, restaurant, rooftop bar and all of their distilling operations.
