CINCINNATI - March First Brands, one of Cincinnati’s leading brewery and distillery operators has landed on another prestigious national list. After being named a finalist for the Fast 55 awards for the third consecutive year in Cincinnati the company is proud to announce their placement on the Inc 5000 list, also for the third consecutive year coming in at number 1243. This list represents a compilation of the fastest growing private companies in the entire United States. Making it onto this illustrious list not only brings recognition and prestige, but also validates a company’s ability to achieve substantial growth amidst fierce competition and weakening economic conditions.
March First Brands was able to achieve this prestigious award in part by growing their company footprint in 2023. The company added a new 10,000sqft March First Brewing location on Cincinnati’s Fountain Square and a Cincinnati Distilling “outpost” called Laveau on 6th street in the heart of the downtown theater district. Laveau features the company’s vast spirits lineup served alongside an authentic cajun/creole menu in a fun and lively Bourbon Street setting. Additional growth came from their Cincinnati Distilling spirits brand in broader distribution. Offerings including Cincinnati Distilling Whiskeys and Bourbons, Voltage Vodkas, Cooper Island Rums, Stillwrights Spirits and a variety of local collaborations and special releases are all available throughout Ohio and neighboring states.
“We, like all our fellow breweries and distilleries, work tirelessly to deliver exceptional beer, spirits, and memorable experiences both inside and outside our venues. We are very proud of our appearance on the Inc 5000 and it is certainly nice to be recognized for our efforts.” said Mark Stuhlreyer, CEO of March First Brands. “However, what really matters most is you, our loyal customers, are happy—without you, we wouldn’t be here. On behalf of the nearly 200 employees here I want to sincerely thank you for your business. These are challenging times for our industry, so to the extent you can, please support all your favorite locally owned restaurants, bars, breweries, distilleries, and beverage retailers.”
"Many people don’t realize that we are a family of brands," said Josh Engel, Marketing Manager at March First Brands. "We have six brick-and-mortar locations, including our main March First Brewing site in Blue Ash, March First Cincinnati on Fountain Square, Cincinnati Distilling in Old Milford, Laveau, our Creole/Cajun restaurant and distillery store on 6th Street downtown, Woodburn Brewing in East Walnut Hills, and FigLeaf Brewing in Middletown. We invite you to explore our award-winning craft beverages and unique, highly-rated dining venues across Cincinnati. And be sure to stay tuned for what's next—exciting surprises are on the way!"
