CINCINNATI - March First Brewing is hosting their second annual Ciderpalooza hard cider festival this weekend on Saturday, August 29th at their brewery located at 7885 E. Kemper Rd. from noon to 10pm. They will be bringing in 15 guest ciders from 11 different breweries and cideries around the country and will be featuring 17 creations of their own bringing the total number of ciders featured at Ciderpalooza to 32! Unique March First ciders include the likes of Asian Pear with Ginger and Chinese 5 Spice, Blueberry Maple Bourbon, and Cincinnati Chili...yes you read that correctly.
“Last year’s Ciderpalooza was one of the best events we have had since we opened” Josh Engel, March First spokesman stated. “Last year was proof there is a huge following for craft ciders in Cincinnati. Ciderpalooza allows us to showcase some of the fun ciders we are working on and highlight select regional ciders that are otherwise hard to find in this area.”
March First has a spacious main taproom and front patio. The brewery will also be opening the back taproom and outdoor beer garden in the rear of the building as well as roping off part of the parking lot which will afford guests maximum room to safely spread out and enjoy themselves. Serving stations will be placed all around the brewery to cut down on people waiting in line.
Tickets will be available at the brewery the day of the event for $3 for one 5oz pour, or 10 for $25. In addition to the ciders March First will have live music by The Yacht Club Players, 90 Proof Twang Duo, and The Dunby Four. They'll also be serving pizza from their kitchen all day with backup from El Cardenal Taquería food truck starting at 4pm.
If cider isn’t your thing March First will have their full line up of beer, hard seltzer and house made spirits available as well.
