Purpose
March First Brewing is a leading producer of craft beer, hard seltzer, ready-to-drink cocktails and spirits based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Our brands are distributed throughout Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan and parts of Indiana and West Virginia. Among these brands are March First Brewing, Astra Hard Seltzer and Cincinnati Distilling Bourbons & Whiskeys. The company is looking for a highly motivated, intelligent and experienced Sales Representative to join our team. We are looking for a person who is passionate about promoting and selling our full portfolio of products in order to earn uncapped commissions. The Sales Representative is a hunter role that will develop, close and cultivate new independent accounts. Once an account is opened the Sales Representative will own and manage the account thereafter while pursuing new leads, there is no hand off to an account manager.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Aggressively identify, target, sample, and sell to new and potential accounts within an assigned territory (on-site and off-site consumption enterprises/stores) 40+ hours per week

Manage entire sales cycle including identification of lead, proposal generation, contact, negotiation of terms, closure, relationship management and overall Client satisfaction

Work independently and be responsible for achieving all defined forecast goals and milestones

Stay informed on products, category innovations, market conditions, competitive activities, and advertising/promotional trends

Track performance and present concise weekly updates to management

Develop and communicate programming, at times in coordination with distribution, to Clients.

Provide coordination and planning for occasional Client visits to the breweries and distilleries

Participate in on- and off-site Client events such as festivals, tastings, tours, quarterly and annual distributor meetings

Accomplish other assignments or projects assigned by management
Experience
-
Minimum 5 years of sales into retail category management environment preferably in the beverage industry

In-depth knowledge of the territory.

Experience and proficiency with Microsoft office suite for data examination and interpretation.

High level of expertise in analyzing information and making information-based recommendations

Effective communications/presentation, follow-up, administrative and organizational skills

Ability to work and drive positive results in a fast-paced, team environment

Excellent communication and time management skills and knowledge or craft beverages and spirits

Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and current auto insurance coverage for required in-market travel (90% of time)
Education
BS/BA degree (Business, Advertising, Marketing or related field preferred)
